Dalam banyak bidang sukan dan organisasi sukan; sukan permotoran dilihat tidak begitu "mesra" kepada wanita. Dalam erti kata lain, jika wanita menceburi sukan yang didominasi oleh kaum lelaki ini maka mereka akan dilayan sebagai pelumba amatur walaupun ada dikalangan mereka dilihat layak untuk berlumba dikalangan pelumba lelaki.
Untuk itu pada minggu lepas FIA telah menubuhkan Women & motor sport Commision bagi menggalakkan lagi penyertaan kaum wanita di dalam kancah perlumbaan permotoran.

WMC (Women & motor sport Commision) terdiri dari 19 anggota dikalangan badan sukan permotoran, pengeluaran, pasukan, pelumba dan jugak Federation Internationale de Motorcyclisme. Mereka ini mempunyai tanggungjawap untuk menggalakkan penyertaan kaum wanita dalam sukan permotoran.

Helle Nice (1900 - 1984) adalah wanita pertama yang terlibat dalam kancah perlumbaan. Beliau digelar sebagai the Bugati Queen. Selain Bugati, beliau juga pernah memandu untuk pasukan Alfa Romeo. Tetapi sebelum terlibat dalam dunia perlumbaan beliau telah terlibat dalam bidang tarian exotic dan pernah bergambar bogel untuk beberapa media cetak.

Helle began to take her racing very seriously, and for the next six years she would be a familiar face on the European Grand prix scene in her Bugattis and Alfa Romeos.
She wasn’t at all bad either, for example she finished 3rd in the heat of the 1933 Monza GP that had seen the untimely demise of the Great Giuseppe Campari and Baconin Borzachinni (see note 50). But while you can take the woman out of the theatre, you can’t take the theatre out of the woman, and her attention seeking, publicity conscious, Show-Biz manner didn’t go down at all well with many in the motor racing establishment. Certainly there are few pictures in which she isn’t striking some sort of cheesy, self-conscious pose. And it didn’t help either (especially with her female colleagues), that she was blatantly unafraid to use her sexuality to her own dastardly benefit.
